How it works
When you donate a waqf share today, it is pooled in a Sharia-compliant fund. After one year from your donation, you’ll have provided a full Qurbani sacrifice.
We purchase an asset that will provide profit, but even before your asset is purchased, your waqf share gets to work. Since our inception in 2023, we’ve purchased three properties through our waqf donations, and we aim to continue purchasing one asset per year.
Today!
You donate a £2000 share to waqf
Investment
We pool and invest your donation, earning an average 7% yearly return
Each year
80% of profits go towards providing nourishing Qurbani meat.
Reinvestment
10% is reinvested to create more income and impact, and 10% is used to maintain your waqf
Your £2,000 works harder than a lifetime of annual giving.
The average qurbani share in the UK costs £150–£200. If you’ve been giving for ten years, you’ve already spent over £1,500. In fifteen years, you’ve passed £2,000.
Every year, that money is spent and gone. No endowment. No continuation after your death. Nothing permanent.
A qurbani cannot be divided — one full sheep must be sacrificed as a complete act. £150 covers one sheep, but a single share in the waqf at that level would generate only a fraction of that in annual profit. £2,000 is not a donation. It is an endowment.
And unlike annual giving, this requires nothing more from you. No reminder. No decision every Dhul Hijjah. No worry if life gets difficult one year. Once your waqf is established, your qurbani is performed — automatically, every Eid, without fail.
Each year, we direct it to where the need is greatest. Sudan this year. Gaza the next. Wherever the greatest suffering is — that is where your sacrifice goes.
Annual giving vs. waqf endowment
Annual giving stops when you do. The waqf does not. With 10% reinvested each year, your endowment grows — inflation-protected and increasingly impactful. And it becomes a Sadaqah Jariyah after your death.
The average Muslim gives Qurbani for approximately 55 years throughout their lifetime.
Annual Qurbani giving is subject to inflation — and it ends when you do.
A Waqf becomes a lasting Sadaqah Jariyah, protected against inflation through the reinvestment model.
Why does this waqf share cost £2,000?
Funds created through your waqf investment support Qurbani around the world. Donate just once, and the profit generated will provide nourishing meat to some of the most vulnerable people in the blessed days of Dhul Hijjah, every single year.
This waqf is different to the standard £100 share because it provides a complete project – one Qurbani – in its first year.

Why direct your waqf to Qurbani?
The first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah are the best in the entire year. Set your intention for your Qurbani and reap the rewards of these powerful days.
The blessed month of Dhul Hijjah reminds us of the obedience, and sacrifice of Ibrahim (AS)
After a lifetime of longing for a child, Ibrahim (AS) was asked to sacrifice his beloved son Ismail (AS), for the sake of Allah. But Allah spared Ismail at the last minute, and a ram was sacrificed in his place.
Each year, we honour that sacrifice, continuing this sunnah and provide nourishing meat to vulnerable families, many of whom only get to taste meat once a year.
Dedicate your waqf to Qurbani, spread joy at Eid, and reap the blessings of this obedient act of worship.
What support will I provide?
Our projects are delivered in partnership with Human Appeal who have over 35 years’ experience of carrying out Qurbani sacrifices. Each year they:

Carefully inspect farms ahead of time
Select only well-cared for animals, in compliance with Islamic requirements
Follow all restrictions of the slaughter, such as protecting animals from seeing the sacrifice.
Package and distribute the meat within the days of Eid al-Adha
“A human does no action from the actions on the day of Nahr more beloved to Allah then spilling blood (of sacrificial animals). On the Day of Judgement, it will appear with its horns, and hair, and hooves, and indeed the blood will be accepted by Allah from where it is received before it even falls upon earth, so let your heart delight in it.”
